34 million viewers tuned in to watch the Milano Cortina Winter Games on France Télévisions channels and platforms

Since the launch of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, with nearly 15 hours of live coverage per day, France Télévisions has been a huge hit on its channels: exceptional audience figures and peak viewership confirm the French public's enthusiasm for the event.

With 15 million viewers* tuning in to the opening ceremony and record audiences throughout the first weekend, sports broadcasts dominated the ratings and made France 2 the leading national channel.
Young people were also tuning in, with 2.6 million 15-24 year olds watching the Olympic Games on our channels.
The power of digital content was evident, with more than 9 million videos viewed on france.tv and 5 million videos viewed on France Télévisions’ sports channel since its launch.
These successes reaffirm the role of public service broadcasting as a key player in major sporting events.
