France Télévisions: the largest sports field watched by all French people

Live sport accessible free to all is a major and historical pillar of France Télévisions program offering. We offer more than 65 sporting disciplines, including the world’s greatest sporting competitions such as the French Open, the Tour de France, the Six Nations Tournament and the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Over 1,600 hours of sport are broadcast every year on our channels (almost 40 times more than the average for free-to-air private channels) and 6,000 hours on the France.tv digital platform.

Our sports programs are widely acclaimed by French people and have become regular collective moments of sharing. 98% of the French population, i.e. 55 million people, watched at least one hour of sport on our channels in 2022 and more than 80 million videos viewed on our digital platform.

The next major unmissable sporting events that will be broadcast on our channels are the Rugby World Cup in September 2023 and the Paris Olympic Games from July 2024.
